You must be wondering – my goodness, there are already so many blogs!! Why do another!!
Well, the reason being is that what I offer isn’t just another cookie cutter way to get your child to sleep, nor am I a one stop shop for a blog on 1,2,3 wave the magic wand and baby is sleeping. But what I do offer is education, guidance, knowledge, and my perspective. My perspective is coated with a generous helping of love and respect for you and the family you are raising. You see, your journey isn’t just about sleep, you are juggling more than that. You have a family to mold, habits to break and create, you have memories to make, and bonds to build – I am simply a helping hand on your way.
I firmly believe we all are better people when we sleep well – including little ones! I know the difference when my little one has had a good night sleep or nap and when she just isn’t quite right. Not only that, when I know her healthy sleep habits then I know when something is wrong. Take today for example – she has slept far more than usual and was hysterical to go to sleep, she was not up for books tonight! She calmed straight away when I put her in the crib to sleep. I now know, that because she’s sleeping more, she is either fighting a bug or that next tooth is about to make its grand arrival.
My heart is that this blog will allow you to get to know me, how I view little ones and my approach to sleep! I am not in favour or cry-it-out and leave them be; I am not about to tell you to rock your child to sleep for 3 hours for the next 8 months, nor am I telling you to do nothing! So, here we are, you… me… and your sleepless little one. All I can say is that mama, dada or who ever you may be gifted with this precious one (shout out to all those great papa’s and granny’s rocking it!) I am here to support you. I want to see you, your family and especially your little one thrive.
As a real mama myself, I will be transparent through this blog, honest and authentic (no I am not about to get 6 proof readers!).
I would love to see them be able to concentrate more during awake hours, be more lively and well tempered, you be able to enjoy each other, and avoid a life time of sleep problems. My goal is that each child and parent would not look at naps or bed time with dread but with calm excitement of restoration.
Next time I will share with you the in’s and out’s of me, my family and why I am helping families.
Let’s thrive together,
